PowerCorridor^tm MOBILE
The Company's flagship product, PowerCorridor^tm MOBILE, uses the existing distribution electric grid to create a distributed antenna sytstem and mobile wireless coverage extension. The system couples to an existing base station and carries the signals up to several miles along the power line, with distribution antennas incorporated as needed along individual segments to create the desired footprints (see diagram below).

System components include the Corridor Termination Module (CTM), which connects to the base station, and the Launches/antennas which are installed directly on the medium-voltage power line as needed to create the desired coverage footprint.



PowerCorridor^tm MOBILE can be made to accept inputs from any type of base station in the 200MHz - 10GHz frequency range and works with all 2G,3G and 4G modulation standards (CDMA, TDMA, GSM).



Value Proposition

PowerCorridor^tm MOBILE offers mobile carriers a much cheaper, more rapidly deployable solution for coverage extension and hole filling - especially in the geographic areas that are most difficult to cover with existing solutions. The coverage extension provided by PowerCorridor^tm MOBILE is particularly efficient since it follows the electric distribution lines - areas that coincide strongly with user traffic areas and therefore desired coverage areas.

By distributing the coverage energy efficiently, spectral reuse is enhanced and self-interference minimized, thereby improving capacity. The very short wireless paths allow extremely low user handset power and can support 4G services.By leveraging the existing electric distribution infrastructure in this distributed antenna system, coverage planning, and commissioning are greatly simplified.

The PowerCorridor^tm MOBILE system is transparent/neutral to modulation standards and can support 2G, 3G, WiFi and other formats as well as supporting multiple carriers simultaneously. PowerCorridor^tm MOBILE offers very significant cost advantages in implementation, in addition to performance and technical advantages. PowerCorridor^tm MOBILE can provide footprint coverage extension at CAPEX costs that are a fraction of those of adding additional micro or macro base stations. There are substantial additional savings beyond this in site planning, legal fees, commissioning, and maintenance due to improved access.

PowerCorridor can deliver IP transport applications very cost effectively as well. Point-to-point networks with capacities exceeding 1Gbps can be created using PowerCorridor. Only fiber solutions compare in capacity, at CAPEX costs that are 10-times or more those of PowerCorridor.
